We are proud to say that the school is the first seed laid as foundation to the educational conglomerate of the SCAD group of institutions. Dr.S.Cletus Babu, committed social reformer and dynamic educationist, started the school as a maiden venture in the field of education in the year 1989, which has taken strong roots and thrived into a giant banyan tree, the SCAD group of institutions. The small seed has today sprouted to a company of 11 institutions offering various branches of primary, secondary and tertiary level education. 

As a 2013 Christmas gift, our students of Good Shepherd Model School Contributed financial assistance to St. Joseph's charity institute (A unit of Thoothukudi Diocesan Association) Adaikkalapuram, Thoothukudi Dist.
